（今まで抑圧されていた）本能的欲求・隠された力・本当の才能（it）を発揮させよう（let go）

itはフロイトのドイツ語のes、ラテン語でid（本能的欲求）。エゴ（自我）やスーパーエゴ（超自我）と比較されるもの。

フロイトの性的抑圧モデル、親の命令から形成されるスーパーエゴが抑圧しているエス（本能）を、大人になって解き放つ物語。ここでは性的な意味合いだけではないものの、性的な意味は下敷きとしてはあるだろう。
男性の場合は、性的抑圧は大きくないと思うが、女性の場合には現代でも性的抑圧は大きい場合もある。また性にかぎらず、抑圧は多分女性の側に少し大きいかもしれない。
それを跳ね除けて、本能（it）をgoさせるというのである。
その点で成長物語である。

苦労はないとは言わないが、基本的に Let it go の状況であろう
